On 1^st March 2023, Dr. Engr. Imran Khan has joined as the new Chairman of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) Department. Dr. Khan is an Associate Professor in the same department of Jashore University of Science and Technology. He is also serving as the Director of the ICT Cell of this university. 

A small in-house ceremony was organized on the same day to greet the new Chairman and farewell to the previous Chairman Dr. Md. Tanvir Hasan. The ceremony was arranged by the faculty members of the EEE department led by Dr. Md. Amzad Hossain and Dr. Mehedi Hassan. All the faculty members and staff of the department were present during the ceremony.

Recently, the EEE department moved to the new Sir Jagadish Chandra Bose Academic Building. Therefore, Dr. Khan will start his office situated on the first floor of that building. This is to mention that Dr. Engr. Imran Khan was also the founding Chairman of the department. The department started its journey back in 2012 with 26 students and two faculty members.
